Kushmanda and Anhata Chakra

 

Welcome to the series of Devi Navaratri and chakra activation.

The fourth alankara that is done to Devi is Maa Kushmanda. Maa kushmanda is the creator of universe. The meaning of name is a small energy. She created this universe with the energy she has. When this universe was not created and when it was absolutely dark she created this universe with her smile. In fact it is said in puranas that she also gave energy and light to the sun. There is one intresting story about Maa kushmanda in fact she is different from other Durga avatars.  With her smile and energy she created Mahalakshmi, Mahasarswathi and Mahakali. Mahakali is born from the light that is formed from her left eye.  Maha Lakshmi is born from the third eye of kushmanda she was absolutely beautiful to look. Maha Sarswathi is born from the light of right eye.  She is worshipped on the fourth day of Navartri and it is strongly believed that she is the creator of this universe so she is called Adhishakti.

While I was doing some research about this avatara I discovered one intresting thing.

Shiva and Sarswathi are brother and sister:

When Maa Kushmanda attention felt on Maha kali a male and a female were born. Male had five heads, 15 hands and 10 legs. He wore skin of tiger his head was decorated with moon. He was holding axe, arrow, bow, trishul etc. she named him Shiva. Female was charming and she was in white color and she was holding books, scared chain (japamala), and lotus she named her as Sarswathi. This how lord Shiva and Sarswathi are brother and sister.

Brahma and Lakshmi are brother and sister:

When Maa Kushmanda attention felt n Maha Lakshmi a male and female were born. Male had four heads he wore orange dress and also costly jewelry so he was named Brahma and female was charming and she has four hands. In two of her hands she was holding lotus and remaining hands were in Abhaya mudhra. She also wore much and costly jewelry so she was named Lakshmi.

In this way both Brahma and Lakshmi are born together and they are brother and sister.

Anhata chakra is governed  by Maa Kushmanda in our body. What is this Anhata chakra??What happens if this chakra activates in the body? Is it really important that this chakra need to be activated in the body. Let us explore.

Anhata chakra:

This is the fourth chakra in the body. Anhata means sound that is produced without touching two parts. It is also pure. This chakra signifies purity or freshness.

What happens when this chakra is activated in the body?

One can see the pureness in the person that is formed by complete detachment. In this world of technology and modern it is highly impossible to get detached. Here detachment can be termed as emotional, sentimental, materialistic etc. when the person is completely detached then only his life becomes beautiful. Everyone in this world is born without any tensions. As they grow up they will come to know everything around them and they become materialistic, egoistic, and arrogant especially attached to everything which is not good. So activating this Anhata chakra in the body will help to get detached. The energy that one get after this Anhata chakra is activated in the body helps in integrity and also creates a fresh perspective for them among their lives which intern makes them very active and positive.
